About the artist
Lou has always had an interest in art. It all started as a child entering local art contests and continued as an adult making movie props and costumes. Lou Rodriquez's first piece of public displayed art was in 2009 at an ice carving contest. He didn't get first but he was intrigued about making sculptures and also had a talent for it. He decided in 2010 to make his first metal sculpture even though he has had no formal art training. Do to working at Genzink Steel, he is capable to do all types of welding for the art pieces he creates. Between the right tools, talent, creativity and imagination he has built some amazing art. His first piece, "A Dragon for Jonas" was fabricated for ArtPrize 2010 and finished in the top 25. Some other pieces that were entered since were, "Butterflies for Noelia" in 2011, "The Firebird" in 2012 and this past year a 3,300lbs Koi...the "Good Luck Fish".

What I do
I listen to my customers ideas and turn that into a truly, one of a kind piece of art. I love doing custom work. Whether it's an indoor sculpture for their coffee table, or a unique piece for their garden...I can do it all. Just take a look at the variety of pieces I've done. I'm sure there is something that would meet your decorating needs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks.
